Personality: Loud, brash, and buoyant, Tatsuki is two tons of scrappiness packed into a one hundred twenty-pound frame. She's honest and direct, often brutally so, and is very comfortable expressing her positive feelings. Her negative feelings, however, are expressed via a punch in the mouth. Tatsuki is protective and slightly more prone to violence than what is healthy, particularly when she's picking a fight with a guy one and a half times her height and twice her weight. But that's just part of the package that comes with being a friend.
Tatsuki does not consider loyalty to be everything. She considers it to be the only thing. Betraying a friend is inconceivable to her, and if some punk ever did that in front of her, hoo boy.
Tatsuki can be prickly at times, especially when she's in a protective-of-Orihime mood. Catch her on a good day, though, and maybe she'll give you a grin and a friendly punch on the arm.
Background: Tatsuki is Muggle-born, from a family with no experience with magic whatsoever. The weird things that sometimes happened around her were dismissed as part of her overall negative aura. Though an only child, Tatsuki never got along well with her parents, who would rarely take time off from arguing with each other to pay attention to her. She would sneak out and pick fights with neighborhood kids just to try to get them to notice her. When they finally did start to notice the bruises, cuts, and scrapes, they dumped her off at a karate dojo and figured that would keep her out of trouble (not realizing that she'd been looking for trouble in the first place). She channeled all her energy into the much more positive route of martial arts, and was on her way to earning a blackbelt by the age of eleven, when she received her Hogwarts letter. Her parents definitely noticed that. She's on much better terms with them now, and she finally earned her blackbelt over the summer of her third year. She's still prone to picking physical fights, forgetting that she can, you know, do magic and stuff.
